Our Mission

The TBF Project offers a unique opportunity to engage with grassroots community initiatives at an intimate level. In this program, you will join a dedicated team of like-minded individuals to take responsibility for a specific project.

As a TBF Project volunteer, you will gain a firsthand understanding of educational challenges in Ethiopia and witness a project’s growth over time. With a secure source of long-term support, the project is able to establish firm roots and move toward self-sufficiency.

Time Commitment

A typical TBF Project commitment spans 3 to 4 years, with members spending roughly 2 hours per week coordinating emails, attending team calls, or communicating with project partners in Ethiopia. What level of weekly time commitment are you comfortable with?

Financial Contribution

TBF Project team members guarantee a minimum financial contribution of $200 annually to support their designated project's operating costs. (Students may participate with a reduced financial commitment).

Site Visits

TBF recommends that at least one member of your project team visits the site in Ethiopia once every two years to monitor progress. Would you be interested or able to join a personal site visit during your commitment?
